What started out as a fireworks show from one local citizen, turned into a community festival celebrated yearly. On September 2, 2023, the Arab City Park will host the annual Sugarfest. The SugarFest is a one day festival brought to us by community volunteers who are dedicated to promoting culture and community in Arab, Alabama.
From 11am to 7pm this event features 150 craft vendors, 20+ food trucks, a 5k race, a kid's area and the carnival, there is something for everyone! The unbelievable Fireworks Show begins promptly at 8:00 p.m. and lasts for 15 heart pounding minutes!
Don't forget to visit the historic village. The beautiful Historical Complex showcases historic buildings that portray a North Central Alabama rural community, all preserved with authentic furnishings and décor that date back to the 1880’s to 1940’s era.
