The Sand Mountain Potato Festival in Henagar, AL. A tradition since 1983, the festival may be a small-town celebration but this event out preformed many large events I have attended. This was my first year doing this show. Let me tell you I was blown away. I met some amazing people and had a very busy and exhausting day! To be honest I did not expect the amount of people that attended the event. The event area, and number of vendors is actually fairly small. But the quality and quantity of customers and visitors was on point!
I spoke to people who traveled from out of state and those who traveled over 3 hours to come. The food trucks were great! The yummy lemonade stand that has the flavored lemonades.... perfection! I will get their name and add that asap.
There was great local talent in vendor attendance. All kinds of different type booths and foods available. The event featured a parade, train rides, pony rides, and fire works, a kids play area, car show and so much more.
I wanted to say hello and thank you to all of the wonderful customers I met and thank you to the City of Henagar, for allowing me the opportunity. I hope to see you all next year there!
Also, a special thanks to my granddaughters, daughter, son-in-law and my event helper ;). As always, the love and support is worth more than anything I can ever earn!
